In cases where a student has failed to achieve a final examination mark considered to be representative of his/her ability as demonstrated throughout the duration of the course, on the approval of the Instructor, Department Chair, and Dean the student may be allowed to sit for a Special Examination.

A special examination application form available from Financial & Registration Services must be completed and returned to Financial & Registration Services within 21 days of the official publication of the final grades. All Special Examinations must be written within 14 days of approval being given, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

A non-refundable fee of $30.00 must accompany a Special Examination application form when it is submitted to Financial & Registration Services (see section 5.2.2).
In the case of discrepancies between information presented on these web pages and the printed calendar,
the printed calendar shall be taken as containing the correct information.
